Cat Behaviourist Bio

I am a practising Clinical Feline Behaviourist and a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and the Animal Behavioural Training Council (ABTC). My primary focus is on the well-being of cats, ranging from feral animals to show cats. I specialise in addressing various behavioural issues, such as anxiety and stress, which many cats may experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with numerous charities to rehabilitate cats at risk of surrender or euthanasia. I previously ran my own cattery, where I fostered and rehabilitated traumatised shelter cats, helping them adapt to new homes and families. I enjoy engaging with cat caregivers to discuss and identify the specific challenges they face with their pets. By using my investigative skills, I can pinpoint the underlying issues affecting their cats, which allows us to collaboratively create a more harmonious living environment. As a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, I address a range of feline behaviours, but the most rewarding experiences come from witnessing cats that were once anxious or distressed begin to rebuild their trust. This transformation profoundly affects the animals involved. Additionally, I support cat parents in enhancing their pets' lives and mending any strained relationships. While this process can be time-consuming and does not offer quick fixes, a consistent approach through trauma modification therapy can help both cat and owner to lead fulfilling lives together, each in their own unique way.
